Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said on October 31, 2026, that Rs 340.78 crore has been sanctioned for an elevated corridor at Sohna Chowk, in Haryana’s Nuh district. Spanning 2.75 km with six lanes, it will rise over the crossing of NH-919 and NH-248A, a junction used by vehicles moving between Gurugram, Sohna, Nuh and surrounding towns.
Once built, vehicles on the Gurugram-Nuh route should be able to travel above the intersection instead of queuing at it, leaving the road below for local movement.
Project snapshot
| Component | Detail |
| Budget sanctioned | Rs 340.78 crore |
| Stretch length | 2.75 km |
| Design | Six-lane elevated road |
| Site | Sohna Chowk, Nuh district (Haryana) |

| Announced on | October 31, 2026, by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari |
Why Sohna Chowk matters to commuters
The two highways that cross here serve different journeys. NH-919 links Palwal and Rewari through Sohna and Dharuhera, while NH-248A heads out of Gurugram via Sohna and Nuh towards Rajasthan. At present, long-distance vehicles, trucks, and local traffic all share one ground-level junction.
With the elevated road in place, the expected gains are:
• Faster passage for vehicles that only need to go through Sohna
• More dependable commute and freight timings
• Easier onward access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the KMP Expressway
• A less crowded junction at street level for local trips
